Parks and Recreations

Being the "Gateway to the Lacassine Wildlife Refuge", many visitors stop and enjoy the good flavor of Cajun cooking, the friendliness of our people, and the warm feeling our small town offers. Nearby, beautiful bayous are home to many varieties of wildlife and native plants. An abundance of recreational activities for all ages exists. One can find a large range of activities such as fishing, baseball, hunting, exercise classes, and bird-watching. We are in the midst of a sportsman's paradise.
